As we prepare to launch Tenuto Creative Therapies, there’s a real sense of excitement in the air — and in our studio! Our music therapists, Amy and Marcus, have been busy getting everything ready to welcome future clients, and that includes adding some beautiful new instruments to our collection.
This week, we unboxed a fresh batch of musical tools that we can’t wait to use in sessions: a slap djembe, a soothing ocean drum, and a bright, resonant tambourine. Each of these instruments brings its own unique tone and tactile experience, perfect for creative expression, grounding, and emotional exploration in music therapy.
There’s something special about the first time you open a new instrument — feeling its texture, exploring its sound, and imagining how it might support someone’s journey through therapy. Amy and Marcus couldn’t resist trying them out right away!
